One week interview in Vantaa, Finalnd
MariMatic® Oy, a member of the MariGroup companies, has over the years researched and developed many innovative products that serve the modern world. One of these products, in which MariMatic® Oy specializes, is the automated solid waste collection system (AWCS). The company manufactures two types of waste collection systems: the Taifun® hygienic conveying system for the food industry, launched in the 1980s for use in industrial applications, and the MetroTaifun®, launched in 2010, and is specifically designed for subterranean conveyance of municipal waste. MariMatic® Oy has delivered around 1,500 systems in over 40 countries.
Marimatic was hiring automation supervisors for their world's largest Automatic Waste Collection System that is operating in the mosque al-Masjid al-Ḥarām and surrounding areas. The system includes a waste chute, intermediary storage container and pipe network. Waste is conveyed pneumatically to the waste transfer terminal into containers.
I had an initial interview with marimtaic middle east director in Dubai in August 2013 and he asked if i can travel to finland for a 1 week paid interview and i said why not. It took me 3 weeks to make the arrangment and booking for the embassy appointment and i got the a 1 month Visa after 2 weeks.
Marimatic didn't have a branch in Saudi so the team was based in UAE with arrangements for frequent travels to the installation site in makkah.
Marimatic didn't like to hire employees directly so they used a middle company for that purpose.
And I joined Marimatic on the 13th October 2013. I consider Sami as one of the best managers I ever worked with. He is cool with a down to earth personality.
During my working marimatic I visited Finland for 1 month and Sweden for another month to attend site installations.
